Celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the "Area's Best" awards for gumbo. The award for Best Display, which goes to the business or restaurant with the most innovative booth, will also be announced.

Laguna Beach Music Festival is a week-long event in scenic Laguna Beach, California, presented by Laguna Beach Live! and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. Dedicated to artistic excellence and innovation, each Festival stars prominent and promising musicians in a variety of activities to attract both the casual listener and the aficionado, who share space in the Festival’s intimate, human-scale venues.

A highlight of each Festival is the unique occasion for gifted young musicians to study with master musicians, while the public has the rare opportunity to observe these stars of tomorrow as they hone their technique and expression. Past Festival mentor musicians have included world-class pianists Claude Frank, Bruno Canino and Christopher O’Riley, bassist-composer Edgar Meyer who returns this year, The Ahn Trio, Turtle Island String Quartet, cellist Lynn Harrell and Composer Paul Chihara with the Claremont Trio. At the inaugural Festival in 2003 the emerging artist ensemble was the Calder Quartet; now this well-established ensemble returns as master quartet in residence for the Tenth Anniversary Festival.

4th Annual Mobile Chocolate Festival : Alabama Gulf Coast

The Mobile Chocolate Festival, a celebration of all things chocolate, will be held at the Mobile Civic Center Expo Hall on Saturday February 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., with all proceeds to benefit Penelope House. The 4th Annual Mobile Chocolate Festival will feature vendors offering samples of their chocolate-related products as well as selling their products and gift certificates- vendors vary from having chocolate-themed wares to succulent confections to jewelry to bath and body products. Also featured: Children's Area, Mobile Fixture Demonstration Area, Chocolate Challenge (professionals, amateurs, and youth divisions), Project Yum Way (students and aspiring designers participate in a fashion display of chocolate inspired fashions made from chocolate candy wrappers, etc), Chocolate Martini Tasting , Cupcake Booth, Chocolate Milk Mustache Booth and more.
